Physiotherapy

Our physiotherapy service in Kensal Rise, North West London provides expert care for pain, injuries, and movement problems. Whether it’s back pain, a muscle strain, tendon injury, sprain, or arthritis, we create a treatment plan that addresses the root cause, not just the symptoms.

Using a mix of manual therapy, tailored exercises, and sports-science–based rehab, we help you move with less pain and more confidence, whether your goal is walking without discomfort, returning to work, or getting back on the pitch.

What's included in Physiotherapy

Manual Therapy

Hands-on joint mobilisation and manipulation to restore movement, ease pain, and reduce stiffness.

Why it matters?

Sets the stage for better movement so you can progress with less discomfort.

Massage

Targets muscles, fascia, and soft tissues to relieve tension and improve circulation.

Why it matters?

Reduces soreness, increases flexibility, and supports faster recovery.

Taping and Strapping

Rigid or elastic tape supports injured areas, reduces strain, and encourages better
movement patterns.

Why it matters?

Keeps you active while protecting healing tissues.

TENS & Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS)

Uses gentle electrical impulses to reduce pain (TENS) or activate muscles (EMS)
during rehab.

Why it matters?

Can relieve discomfort, promote healing, and re-train weak or inhibited muscles after injury.

Blood Flow Restriction training (BFR)

A cutting-edge rehab method using controlled pressure cuffs to safely limit blood flow while exercising.

Why it matters?

Builds strength and muscle even when you can’t lift heavy. Ideal for post-surgery or injury recovery phases.

Dynamometry testing

Objective, specific strength assessment that measures how much force a muscle or muscle group can produce.

Why it matters?

Reveals true strength deficits and imbalances so your rehab can target exactly what needs improvement; no guesswork.

Objective Mobility Testing (Inclinometer)

Precise measurement of how far your joints move using an inclinometer, removing the subjectivity of visual estimates.

Why it matters?

Tracks your mobility progress accurately, showing whether your treatment is working and where to focus next

Force Plate testing

Advanced technology that measures strength, balance, stability, and power output through real-time pressure data.

Why it matters?

Identifies movement asymmetries, strength deficits, and performance gaps, guiding precise rehab and reducing risk of re-injury.

Motor Control Training

Re-teaches your body to activate the right muscles at the right time.

Why it matters?

Restores proper movement, lowers re-injury risk, and improves efficiency.

Bodyweight Training

Boosts body awareness, coordination, mobility, and strength while being adaptable to any situation, so your recovery stays on track even when travelling or without equipment.

Why it matters?

Builds a versatile foundation for more advanced training.

Strength Training

With our fully equipped on-site gym, we tailor your programme to rebuild muscle
strength and joint resilience.

Why it matters?

Stronger muscles = more resilient joints, better movement, and reduced injury risk.

Shockwave Therapy

A non-invasive treatment that uses acoustic waves to stimulate tissue repair, enhance blood flow, and accelerate healing in conditions such as tendinopathies and muscle injuries.

Why it matters?

Breaks the cycle of pain and inflammation, promotes natural tissue regeneration, and helps resolve stubborn conditions such as tendinopathy and plantar fasciitis, getting you back to pain-free movement faster.

Diagnostic Ultrasound

Diagnostic Ultrasound is one of the most powerful tools in modern physiotherapy. It allows us to see your injured tissues (muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, and joints) in real time, providing faster and clearer answers than guesswork or waiting months for scans.

We use ultrasound to detect problems such as muscle or tendon tears, tendinopathy, sprains, bursitis, or arthritic changes, giving you confidence in your diagnosis and clarity in your recovery plan.

Point-of-Care Ultrasound – POCUS

A safe, real-time imaging tool that shows muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, bones, and joint health. We can compare sides, pinpoint the source of pain, and see how tissues respond in the moment.

Why it matters?

An accurate diagnosis means more targeted treatment and a faster and better recovery.

£120 - 45 minutes

Scan of 1 body part, brief physio examination, discussion of findings.

£150 - 60 minutes

Scan of more than 1 body part, comprehensive physio examination and rehab plan.

Clinical Strength & Conditioning

Strength isn’t just for athletes, it’s the foundation of staying active, healthy, and pain-free. Our clinical strength and conditioning service bridges the gap between rehab and performance, helping you build resilience and reduce the risk of future injuries

Using advanced tools like force plates and VBT (velocity-based training), we don’t just track your progress we assess how your body performs, identify imbalances, and tailor your training to what you actually need.

What's included in Strength & Conditioning

Force Plate testing

Advanced technology that measures strength, balance, stability, and power output through real-time pressure data.

Why it matters?

Identifies movement asymmetries, strength deficits, and performance gaps, guiding precise rehab and reducing risk of re-injury.

Power Training

Focused exercises that develop strength, speed, and explosiveness to boost overall
athletic performance.

Why it matters?

Improving power means building the ability to generate force quickly, the foundation for better performance, agility, and resilience in sport and daily life.

Velocity-Based Training (VBT)

Smart technology that measures movement speed during resistance training to guide load, volume, and intensity.

Why it matters?

Ensures you train at the right intensity for that day, hitting the sweet spot for strength, speed, and power without overtraining or wasting effort. Every rep counts, maximising progress while managing fatigue.

Ballistic & Plyometric Training

Explosive drills like jumps, hops, and bounds to train rapid force production.

Why it matters?

Converts gym strength into real-world performance and resilience.

Motor Control Training

Re-teaches your body to activate the right muscles at the right time.

Why it matters?

Restores proper movement, lowers re-injury risk, and improves efficiency.
